Hey there,
My name is Angela Seeling and I’m thrilled you have found your way here.

I am retired midwife and certified professional coach with a focus on women’s health and functional nutrition.
I live in paradise, at 9100 feet, in the mountains of Golden, CO with my family.

For years, I counted myself among the lucky ones to have “found my calling” as a midwife. I was the best doula (and parent) ever — before I had children of my own.

I gave birth to all of my children out-of-hospital (including the home water-birth of our twins), co-founded a non-profit family support organization, managed a group of doulas, continued to attend births, and became a postpartum doula.
I became a student midwife, and was the poster child for the midwifery model of care. And yet I was completely overwhelmed, screaming inside (and well, outside as well), and instead of running a non-profit while nursing twins and chasing a toddler, what I needed was a post-partum doula of my own.

I was THAT mom. Do you know her?

When I became pregnant with our 4th child, I knew something had to change. I let go of the non-profit I had worked so hard to co-create, and focused on my young children, and studying midwifery.

I was finally able to start my midwifery practice, and was in love with my clients. My work was fulfilling, but stressful, and I was increasingly taxed by the years of being on-call, all-nighters, and leaving my family. I didn’t yet have the courage to make the change my body (and soul) longed for.

At the side of a laboring woman, I was calm and nurturing. But at home, I was exhausted, short with my family, and “all touched-out”.

Somewhere along the way, I lost myself.  I no longer knew my song, I had forgotten the words.

My growing midwifery practice came to a super slow-down when I turned my focus to my son’s sudden illness. After months of conventional and natural medicine for not 1, but 2 of our precious children, we finally found the path to healing naturally from Lyme disease and Epstein Barr.

It was during this time, that I discovered the physical and emotional power of essential oils. After caring for my own family and so many others, these precious plants were the answer I had been searching for to rejuvenate my body and soul. Over time, my mood lightened, I got stronger, and at the age of 40, I found myself in the best physical and mental health of my life.

I began researching essential oils and sharing our story with everyone who would listen. I met some of the most beautiful people, and began a journey of building a team of essential oil experts and educating others through classes and 1-1 wellness consults.

But I couldn’t help feeling like I was walking away from my “calling”, missing the deeper connection with my midwifery clients, and the soul work that takes place in the transitions of life. And personally, I was searching for more.

I discovered Woman Within International, turned my phone OFF for the first time in 20 years, and embarked on the Woman Within Weekend.

It was on this weekend, that my eyes were opened to the extent of my life-long burnout, and I began the ascent to self-discovery and true belonging.
I allowed myself to ask the question for the first time, “How would you like your life to be different?”

Over the following year, I traveled to attend every WW training I could find, and made life-changing connections with beautiful, intentional women. I helped re-ignite Woman Within Colorado and re-launch our annual CO WW weekend, and am now a Facilitator In Training for this life-changing non-profit organization.

I found my tribe, but more importantly, I found me.

I registered to become a Certified Professional Coach and in the process, I let go of the belief that I was failing or walking away from my calling. And instead, I realized I was just returning to my roots, and continuing the journey.

On the surface this looked like a change in career. But really, coaching has been woven into my practice for 20 years.
On a deeper personal level, this has been about a woman who bravely faced her fears. A woman who learned to say no to what wasn’t working, and yes to what she really wanted.

During my coaching certification, a buddy-coach asked me to name 3 positive things about myself.
1. I am strong
2. I am loyal
3. I love fiercely

I have discovered a woman who chooses to trust and love herself fiercely, and I love helping others do the same.

I have studied the Enneagram, Gallup Strengths, EFT (tapping) and I adore helping others write their strength’s story, discover their inner wisdom, and unapologetically live their best lives.

Currently, I am enrolled at the Integrative Women’s Health Institute, to become a board certified Women’s Health and Functional Nutrition Coach.
And as I enter my own “second spring“, I am now referred to as the “menopause/midlife midwife”, working with women to discover their inner wisdom, what’s next after raising kids, and finding the joy in the second half of life, with balanced hormones, and a vibrant lifestyle.

Over the past 25 years I have had the honor of attending hundreds of births in various hospitals, homes, and birth centers.
And while witnessing births and caring for women and their babies is a deep love of mine, my greatest joy is the soul-connection with my clients, and partnering to do the work of discovery and “becoming”.  Though I’m no longer on-call for births, I LOVE getting back to my roots — the early days of sitting across from another woman, sharing conversation and a cup of tea, while envisioning hopes and dreams.

I now offer this beautiful soul-connection in my coaching practice, and I would be honored to join you on your journey to self-discovery, true belonging, and loving YOURSELF fiercely.

Questions? Let’s connect.

Things I love:
paddle boarding, hikes with my family, watching my kids play soccer and ride mountain bikes, coffee with friends, sitting in my Woman Within circle, arranging the family calendar so I can do my best to make all the things at all the times, Sunday Family Day, and the changing of seasons.
